Types of Extensions

Extensions are a great way to add additional space to the ground level of your current property, while also adding value to it come re-sale. Like our loft conversions, where possible we will arrange for you to view similar extensions in your area to see what is possible and give you additional ideas.

Straight

As the name suggests, a straight extension allows you to open up and extend either the front, side or back wall of your property. It can achieve a large open space once the shell of the structure has been finished or it can be divided into rooms such as a lounge or kitchen depending on your requirements and taste. This style of extension is traditionally finished with a flat roof and brick exterior walls but any finish can be achieved.

Side L-shaped

Much like a straight extension, a side L-shaped structure can be achieved on a building where the exterior land allows for a wrap around style extension. This type of project can make a striking difference to the space available alongside the look and feel of the interior. It allows for all sorts of interior possibilities, whether open plan or divided, with the former made possible thanks to long supporting steel beams.

Double-storey

For clients wishing to gain a vast amount of space, there is the possibility to extend a property on the ground and first floor. This can be a straight extension or a side L-shaped extension. The result is the same regardless with the exception that it is more than one storey and is finished with a flat roof.
